Description

The contract included construction of a new water treatment plant to supply 65m3/hour of treated water to the Carlow community. The site was in a remote area with restricted access. The site was also very tight and adjoined the existing live plant. ESK Plant Ltd was responsible for construction and supervision of all Civil Works on site.
 

Scope of Works

• Upgrade to existing river intake
• Construction of new emergency river intake
• Excavation for Substructure of treatment Building
• Excavation and Base for sludge and washwater tanks
• Installation of site waste water treatment plant.
• Installation of interconnecting underground services 
• Construction of new entrance gateway.
• Cut and fill earthworks.
• Construction of internal access roads.
• Footpaths
• Landscaping
