Description

The contract included upgrading the Waste water treatment plant in Portlaoise. The existing 23,000 PE treatment plant was upgraded to cater for a population of 39,000. The plant included a sludge dryer capable of treating 2,365 tonnes of dry solids per annum. Excavations for tanks on site went to a depth of 5.65m. ESK Plant Ltd was responsible for construction and supervision of all Civil Works on site.

• Excavation and Substructure for Sludge Building.
• Civil works associated with Tertiary filter area.
• Excavation and Base for storm, aeration & settlement tank.
• Installation of interconnecting underground pipework 
• Installation of all underground services.
• Construction of access roads subject to NRA safety audit.
• Footpaths
• Landscaping
