Description

The contract included Ground Investigation for the proposed rehabilitation/ replacement of existing water mains. 3750m of slit trenches were excavated across roads. This was to locate services and to survey road construction materials, natural soils, rock and ground water. The work took place in the countryside as well as towns such as Fethard, Killenaule and Mullinahone. All work had to be complete with live traffic at all times.
 

Scope of Works

• Traffic and Pedestrian Management
• Excavation of 300mm wide slit trenches.
• Spoil exported off site
• Careful & Precise excavations to avoid existing services.
• Backfill with thorough compaction to avoid settling. 
• Trenches finished with Lean mix and hot rolled asphalt.
